This is a linear equation in the form of:
[tex]y = mx + c[/tex]
Whereby, m = Gradient and c= y-intercept.

Given:
[tex]y = ( \frac{1}{2} )^{x} [/tex]

The same as:
[tex]y = (\frac{1}{2} )^{x} + 0[/tex]
Therefore, the y-intercept = 0
