As a result of the Atlantic Slave Trade between 10 million and 16 million Africans were forcibly brought to the Americas. The Atlantic Slave Trade took place from the 16th Century to the 19th Century, with a vast majority of the enslaved people being taken from the coast of Western Africa to the Americas (North and South America and the Caribbean).
