What impact did Sinclair’s book have on the era of Progressive reform?

It was part of the muckraking trend in journalism and definitely helped to keep that going. It also showed people how progressive activism could bring about change. Since, "The Jungle" did bring about reform by the Federal government.

The Jungle showed that if the public was informed about a certain issue, it had the power to demand reform from the government.
