Given two equations,

Comapring both equations,

[tex]\begin{gathered} 3x-1=-3x+1 \\ 3x+3x=1+1 \\ 6x=2 \\ x=\frac{2}{6}=\frac{1}{3} \end{gathered}[/tex]

Therefore, x = 1/3.
