[tex] \frac{15}{100} = \frac{15\div5}{100\div5} = \frac{3}{20} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{3}{20} *x=84[/tex] ⇒ [tex]3x=84*20[/tex]
[tex]3x=1680[/tex]
So, x=[tex] \frac{1680}{3} = 560[/tex]

x*15/100=84
x=84*100/15
x=8400/15
x=560
therefore the number is 560
