[tex] \frac{3}{4}- \frac{1}{6} = \frac{3\cdot3}{4\cdot3} - \frac{1\cdot2}{6\cdot2} = \frac{9-2}{12} [tex]= \boxed {\frac{7}{12} }[/tex]
