Dimensions of a rectangular solid:
a = 4 cm,  b = 6 cm,  c = 8  cm.
Surface Area = 2 * ( a b + b c + a c ) =
= 2 * ( 4 * 6 + 6 * 8 + 4 * 8 ) =
= 2 * ( 24 + 48 + 32 ) =
= 2 * 104 = 208 cm²
Answer: Its surface area is 208 cm².
