so 1/2mv^2

and the mass is 2 kg and the velociy is 25 so 1/2(2)(25)^2

which is 625 joules which is your answer

this is because the law of energy conservation states that energy can't be taken out of the system so assuming there is no friction the PE is the same as the KE
