The equation of a line is y=-2x+1. What is the equation of a line that is parallel to the first line and passes through (2,2)

The answer is y=-2x+6

We know the slope of the given equation is -2. A parallel line must have the same slope as the original function. So if we plug in the coordinates and the slope into the point slope formula we get y=-2x +6
