Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

x = (1/2) (z + y)

Discussion:

Solve    2x-y =z for x.

2x -y = z      =>

2x -y + y = z + y   =>            ( add "y" to both sides)

2x = z + y

x = (1/2) (z + y)                     ( divide both sides by 2)

Regards,

MrB

P.S.  I'll be on vacation from Friday, Dec 22 to Jan 2, 2019. Have a Great New Year!
