[tex] \sqrt{(2x + 8)} - 6 = 4[/tex]
[tex] \sqrt{(2x + 8)} = 4 + 6[/tex]

[tex] \sqrt{(2x + 8)} = 10[/tex]
[tex] \sqrt{(2x + 8)} ^{2} = 10 {}^{2} [/tex]
[tex]2x + 8 = 100[/tex]
[tex]2x = 100 - 8[/tex]
[tex]2x = 92[/tex]
[tex]x = 92 \div 2[/tex]
[tex]x = 46[/tex]
So; the answer is: 46
